Blue Mass: First Responders Appreciation Service - A Celebration of Service and Sacrifice

On Sunday, September 8, 2024, Saint Paul's Episcopal Church will host a Blue Mass: First Responders Appreciation Service to honor and celebrate the invaluable service of our local First Responders. This annual tradition, which began a few years ago, is a heartfelt expression of gratitude for the men and women who put their lives on the line every day to protect and serve our community.

Blue Mass, a tradition observed for many years in various parts of the United States, is a special service that recognizes the unique challenges and sacrifices First Responders face.

The timing of the Blue Mass, which falls close to the anniversary of the September 11th attacks, is particularly poignant. This tragic event is a stark reminder of the dangers that First Responders face and the immense courage they display in the face of adversity. By honoring our local First Responders at this time, we are acknowledging their service and paying tribute to all those who have given their lives in the line of duty.

Saint Paul's Episcopal Church warmly invites all First Responders and their families to join us for this special service. We believe it is essential to recognize and appreciate the vital role that these individuals play in our community. Let us come together to celebrate their dedication, bravery, and unwavering commitment to serving others.
